Scoring Excellent: Considerate Constructors Scheme

We are very pleased to share we have achieved a score of excellent by the Considerate Constructors Scheme on the new general ward and Critical Care Unit at Newham Hospital and the Hybrid Theatre build at Lister Hospital. The Considerate Constructors Scheme supports the construction industry to adhere to standards of excellence as a considerate constructor and build trust with the public.

“At Health Spaces we believe in the importance of advancing and upholding the highest standards on our sites, supporting our workforce, and being aware of the build’s impact on surrounding areas. We are proud to work with our NHS partners to both minimise the impact on the working hospital environment and provide effective communication to all stakeholders.”

Mark Fairclough, Head of Delivery.

Traditionally, construction activity can tend to be fragmented due to misalignment between the multiple contractors, sub-contractors and suppliers involved in each project. This can then have a knock on effect to site behaviours or culture. However, at Health Spaces we endorse schemes such as Considerate Constructor’s to help mitigate this and to focus on good culture and positive leadership behaviours which as a result, help to improve community and workforce relations, performance, influence productivity, quality, and the ability to create a positive legacy for local communities.

“We are passionate about working in collaboration with our NHS partners and local communities. We believe in the power of partnership; we foster an inclusive environment where everyone’s contributions are recognised and valued. By working together, we achieve greater results and overcome challenges more effectively.”

Kelvin Moulding, Managing Director.
