Staff welfare areas
NHS staff welfare areas allow clinicians to take a break, rest and eat their meals away from their working environment, with eating facilities equipped with comfortable seating, readily available refreshments and hygienic food preparation areas allowing for relaxation. Changing rooms provide privacy and dignity for staff, with suitable washing and toilet facilities available to use without delay that are clean, well ventilated and lit.
Read our staff welfare case study with Conquest Hospital; a healthcare space that delivered a dedicated break-out area space that maximised natural light while still feeling connected to the man hospital building.
Conquest Case Study
“There was minimal disruption to the clinical staff and clinical space, and the build team were very respectful. The staff are really happy with the build and the development. It’s gone really well and the staff are really enjoying the end product.”
Ross Williams, Head of Nursing, Conquest Hospital
